Mining Clean Up

Pure Bio is used at many commercial mines to mitigate pollution through filtration and for revegetation
to stabilize sloped mining sites.

Remediation and Filtration

Pure Bio can be used on its own or in combination with other sorbents or
precipitants to remove metals, sulphur compounds, nutrients or other leaching effluents.

Re-vegetation

Regrowing vegetative cover over disturbed ground in order to ensure a slope is stable can be invaluable to a mining site.

Remediation and Filtration

Pure Bio can be used on its own or in combination with other sorbents or precipitants to remove metals, sulphur compounds, nutrients or other leaching effluents. Many applications can be generated depending on the unique needs of the mining site, but standard solutions include channeling polluted liquids through Pure Bio in holding tanks, permeable sacks, in tubes, or though loose material. PBE can offer a series of experts familiar with our product and its application, who can design customized solutions specific to any client.

Re-vegetation

Regrowing vegetative cover over disturbed ground in order to ensure a slope is stable can be invaluable to a mining site. In general the application rate of Pure Bio is 5% by volume in locally sourced compost or solids products totaling 400 cubic meters per 0.4 hectares. On top of this vegetative blanket, seed is used to create a stable slope. In this application, Pure Bio serves to make highly degrading bioproducts like compost last longer and be more productive. Additionally, Pure Bio will allow better water and nutrient management over a slope at a mining site.
